7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
The meeting is starting a half hour earlier today, at 7:00 pm, to accommodate the in-club judging!
Note: We have altered the normal clinic format.
Our plan is that the initial part of the evening would be devoted to demonstrating the judging protocol (introduced to us by Norm Ulloch on September 17th), by drawing on examples from the Judges-in-Training course. This would be followed by a ‘mock judging’ session where we would invite various members in attendance to take the ‘hot seat’ and try their hand at scoring images using the GTCCC model. We would use a pool of member images from past competitions for this purpose.
Afterwards, we would compare the results from the ‘mock judging’ panel with the actual score that the image attained in the past competition. The overall intent of the clinic would be to help you comprehend the facets of photography that you need to address in order to score well in competitions.
We hope you will find the evening both informative and entertaining.
This evening will be lead by Lance Gitter.
