8:30 am - 1:30 pm
Lynde Shores Conservation Area
This outing will provide an opportunity to shoot nature: birds and other things, including deer (frequently seen here), plus landscapes on the walks and around the shoreline.
Directions: Lynde Shores is south of the 401 between Ajax and Whitby. From Toronto take the 401 east, exit south at Salem Road (aka Durham Regional Road 41) and go east on
Bayly (aka Durham regional Rd 22). You will see Lynde Shores on your right (south side).
Our plan is to meet in the parking lot around 8:00 AM. If you wish to shoot sunrise (assuming appropriate weather) feel free to come earlier (sunrise should be around 6:19 AM). The best way to do this is to drive down Halls Road which is just west of Lynde Shores.
We will go for brunch/lunch after shooting at a nearby restaurant (still investigating options).
The parking lot may not take credit cards, so bring some change.
Missy has kindly offered to give those who are coming to this outing some of her tips on bird photography prior to the event (unfortunately she is not able to join us on the Sunday). We have booked ‘The Boardroom’ (room 211, upstairs) at Edithvale on April 18 at 6:30 for this discussion. This is just prior to our regular Tuesday night meeting.
This event is only open to TDPC members. Please log in with your TDPC account to register for this event.
