Documentary Street Photography was developed because of my own passion for street photographer over the past five years. The program is a teaching program utilizing photographs from master street photographers, both classic and modern as well as my own photographs from the past few years on the street. The goal is to best illustrate the teaching points with excellent photography.
Topics covered include:
• Definition of street photography
• Types of street photography
• Legalities of Street Photography in a Canadian Context
• 14 Essential Street Techniques that will help you succeed on the street
• 15 different Subjects to consider with Street Photography
• Summary of topics covered Part 1 and 2
• List of classic and modern master street photographers.
Randall Romano presented ‘Is Photography Important’ to our club on Feb 6, 2018.
He lives near Peterborough and has been interested in photography since he was 16 (i.e. over 40+ years). He has photographed nature, done part time commercial photography for 35 clients, studied the history of photography and been inspired by the work of other photographers.
Originally, he focused more on topics like the natural world, selling stock images, tourism, events, and commercial architecture.
After retiring from a full-time job at the Post Office and having fewer kids at home, he has been able to focus more on personal projects; primarily documenting the life of humanity via Street Photography.
