We will begin our journey from St. Clair Ave West and Spadina as we walk through an area called, Sir Winston Churchill Park and at the far end will be a set of staircases leading down to the nature area where forks of pathways will lead in different directions. Here there will be an area that is an actual designated ‘mini dog walking park’ which is fenced in. To the right of this area are two paths, both leading to the Nordheimer Ravine. (We’re not going to cover this area as there’s not enough time and as it’s also an area that is occupied by quite a few homeless tent persons).
To the left, two other paths where both lead to Russell Hill Road at the end but one being a lengthier walk and the other a shorter walk. We will be doing the shorter path first and then we will double back to the center to take the longer path. When we have done this path we will double back or if people wish they can just continue to Russell Hill Rd.
These areas are far more beautiful in the fall when they’re filled with color but still very pretty for being right in the middle of a busy city. Enclosed is a pic from the fall of 2023 when it was truly a great fall season.
