Presentation Overview

Andrew’s Macro Made Easy program focuses on his macro techniques for photographing insects. Last summer while recuperating from a surgical procedure he spent countless hours around his rural home focusing on improving on his insect photography. During this presentation Andrew will be sharing that info with you. This includes “how I photograph insects and spiders at 4 times life size!”

The first part of the presentation will be a slide presentation discussing:
• Photographic gear
• Flashes and easy to make diffusers that are better than anything available on the market today
• Field techniques for achieve sharp focus on a consistent basis

During the second part of the presentation Andrew will do live editing of insect images (2 minimum) that will highlight some Photoshop tips and techniques that Andrew uses to optimize his imagery. Many of these Photoshop techniques work for all genres of photography.

Bio

Andrew is a full time photographer / writer from Ontario, Canada. For as long as he can recall, he has been fascinated by the natural world. Andrew’s photography became an extension of that love.
If he did not own a camera, he would still be found hiking along dense boreal forest trails, canoeing through wetlands, and observing all the beauty that nature has to offer. Extensive travels throughout Ontario have resulted in a large, diverse collection of images that feature landscapes and the flora and fauna of the Ontario and beyond.
