Bio

Peter Andrew Lusztyk (b. 1982) is a Canadian photographer recognized for large-format, hyper-detailed images that transform everyday objects and landscapes into compelling visual statements. His practice examines value, circulation, and the often unseen systems that structure contemporary life, balancing the precision of fine art with the accessibility of editorial and commercial work.

His work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including the Design Museum Den Bosch and the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke. His photographs are held in private and corporate collections such as Apple, Audi, and the Government of Canada. His images have also appeared in major film and television productions including Suits and Downsizing, extending his audience beyond the traditional gallery context.

Over nearly a decade of teaching at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto, Lusztyk has mentored a generation of emerging photographers, emphasizing discipline, clarity, and meticulous attention to detail. His work has received numerous international honours, including multiple Graphis awards, first prizes at both the International Photography Awards and PX3 Paris, and the Magenta Foundation Flash Forward Emerging Photographer Award.

Spanning museum exhibitions, editorial commissions, and private collections, Lusztyk’s practice continues to challenge how viewers perceive everyday objects — and the structures that define their meaning.
