Photography has always been a part of my life. For years, I carried a small point-and-shoot camera, collecting snapshots of vacations and special moments.

In 2017, while planning a trip to Iceland, I decided to get more serious about my hobby. I bought my first DSLR camera, signed up for a course, and to my surprise returned home with some striking landscape and Aurora images - an experience that pulled me deeper into photography.

Since then, photography has become a passion and I, a lifelong student. I enjoy all genres but I’m most at home in nature, capturing whatever stops me in my tracks during my walks - light, textures, or a small scene that somehow insists on being noticed.

Finding the TDPC has been such a gift. The talent within the club inspires me constantly, and I’ve learned so much from the generous members. I enjoy the guest speakers, and the outings are a lot of fun. The competitions can feel a little intimidating, but the thoughtful feedback is helping me grow, pushing me to express myself more confidently and creatively with my images.
