As a single mother to two daughters in University, I didn't have much time to worry about my own hobbies or spare time until recently. As my daughters spread their own wings, I found I had a lot of time to myself and decided to try to rekindle an interest in photography from my own University years. Since that decision, made in the summer of 2022, photography has filled almost all of my spare time.

With a love of animals, it was natural to start with long walks at the zoo and at the local conservation area. In the summer of 2023, my first trip to Algonquin Park excited my passion for learning about and photographing wildlife even more. Although most of my photography has been of wildlife and zoo animals, I have also taken steps to learn more about landscape, street, and architectural photography to capture better images while traveling. I plan on taking as many photography-centered trips as possible in the coming years.

I joined the TDPC in the fall of 2023, and have really learned so much from my evaluation group, the special interest groups, the outings, and the competitions. I am excited to continue to learn from these experiences the club has to offer and to make new friends with a shared interest in photography and travel.
