Kay McGregor Trophy (Nature) Winners

The results of the above competition were announced at the club meeting held on December 10, 2024.

A silver bowl, donated by Mrs. H. R. (Kay) McGregor in 1954, is awarded for the best aggregate score of each member's three highest scoring nature images, of which no more than two images may be in any one category.

This year, 9 Novice, 6 Intermediate and 13 Advanced division members participated in the competition.

 

 

 

 

Here are this year’s winners…

The Winner of the Novice Division was Susan Maclean with her 3 images:

  • Contemplating Life Choices
  • Are We There Yet?
  • A Hug From Mom

Novice Runner Up was Vera Gillman.  Honourable Mention was given to Kamini Steinberg.

The Winner of the Intermediate Division was Michael Salter with his 3 images:

  • Rare humpback whale twisting breach
  • Jaunty puffin
  • Spectacular humpback whale breach

Intermediate Runner Up was David Sherman.  An Honourable Mention went to Jeff Berger.

The Winner of the Advanced Division and the overall TROPHY WINNER was Gord Sawyer with his 3 images:

  • Pine Grosbeaks
  • Humming Bird and Bee
  • Pine Marten

Advanced Division Runner Up and TROPHY RUNNER UP was Lidia Brandes.  Honourable Mention went to Wendy Thurston.
